Battery terminals are the critical interface between the vehicle’s battery and its entire electrical system. Typically made of lead, brass, or coated steel to ensure high conductivity, these clamps attach the heavy-gauge starter cables to the positive and negative battery posts. Over time, they are prone to corrosion—often seen as a white or bluish powder—which creates electrical resistance. Loose or corroded terminals are a common cause of “no-start” conditions where the car has power but won’t crank. Maintaining a clean, tight connection here is essential for reliable ignition and charging.
