The tail light assembly is the rear-facing lighting cluster that communicates the driver’s actions to traffic behind them. It integrates multiple distinct lights into one housing: red position lights for visibility at night, brighter red brake lights to indicate stopping, white reverse lights, and amber or red turn signals. These assemblies are crucial for safety and are a legal requirement. Like headlights, they are sealed to prevent moisture ingress, which can corrode the bulb sockets. Modern versions often use LED strips for faster illumination and distinct styling signatures.
