Bumper protection strips are thick, shock-absorbing rubber pads stuck to the corners of the front and rear bumpers. These corners are the most vulnerable parts of the car during low-speed parking maneuvers. The strip acts as a sacrificial barrier; if you scrape a pillar or a wall while parking, the rubber strip takes the damage instead of your painted bumper. They are easy to replace and much cheaper than a body shop repaint job.
